**About the Role**

We are looking for a motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Clinical Lead in Antimicrobial Stewardship. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship programs across the Trust.

The role involves working closely with microbiologists and clinicians to develop and implement guidelines, conduct clinical audits, and provide training/education. The ideal candidate will have postgraduate certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent clinical experience, and be registered as an independent prescriber.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement antimicrobial stewardship programs, including guideline development and clinical audit
  • Provide expert advice and support the submission of new medicine requests to the UHL Therapeutic Advisory Service (TAS)
  • Deliver a highly specialised level of clinical input using advanced theoretical and practical knowledge
  • Collate data and produce reports on drug use within the specialty

About the Benefits

The salary for this role is £50,000-£65,000 per annum, with opportunities for flexible working and a strong focus on work-life balance. The role requires approximately 37.5 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend working.
