Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Oncologist to lead our team in delivering high-quality cancer care to the East Midlands. The successful candidate will specialise in the delivery of SACT/radiotherapy for Head and Neck malignancies.

  • Undertake clinical and managerial responsibility for agreed oncology specialties and patients
  • Continuing responsibility for patient care in liaison with consultant colleagues
  • Attend and participate in MDTs for Head and Neck cancers
  • Demonstrate active participation in clinical trials and drive up trial recruitment and standards of care
  • Provide leadership in clinical trials development and show interest in clinical research
  • Take an active role in undergraduate teaching
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • MRCP/FRCP/FRCR or equivalent
  • Fully accredited for Higher Specialist training or eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date

Desirable qualifications include higher degrees such as MSc, MD, PhD, or membership of relevant specialist societies or associations.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £90,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include pension scheme, generous annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
