We are seeking a skilled Hairdresser to join our team at Yarl's Wood Immigration and Removal Centre. As a Hairdresser, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality hairdressing service to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a range of hairdressing services, including cutting, styling, and colouring.
- Work closely with the regimes team to ensure that an appropriate service is provided.
- Maintain an effective appointment system and ensure that the appropriate staff are advised of your presence at your designated place of work.
- Treat all residents with dignity and respect, regardless of age, ethnic group, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or language.
- Report any concerns or issues to your manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing and Level 2 Cutting Men's Hair qualification.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and knowledge of both Caucasian and Afro-Caribbean and Asian hair and up-to-date styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
