Hairdresser Role Overview

Serco is seeking a skilled Hairdresser to join our team at Yarl's Wood Immigration and Removal Centre. As a Hairdresser, you will provide a high-quality hairdressing service to residents, working closely with the regimes team to ensure an appropriate service is provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a hairdressing service to residents, maintaining an effective appointment system and offering a range of services to meet their needs.
  • Work closely with the regimes team to ensure an appropriate service is provided.
  • Treat all residents with dignity and respect, regardless of age, ethnic group, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or language.
  • Maintain appropriate records of tools and equipment, establishing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with residents.
  • Report concerns of any nature to your manager, contributing to the achievement of good communication within Yarl's Wood IRC.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in hairdressing and Level 2 Cutting men's hair qualification.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with knowledge of both Caucasian and Afro Caribbean and Asian hair and up-to-date styles.
