Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join our team at IDEX Optical Technologies - CVI Infrared Optics. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and advising on health and safety legislation, promoting a positive health and safety culture, and ensuring compliance with applicable EHS laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for remedial actions.
  • Liaise with the HR team and managers to ensure that all employees are aware of their health and safety responsibilities and receive necessary training and support.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety matters, including induction, health and safety awareness training, and safety organiser.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with ESG - Environmental Social Governance standards and maintain employee and site protection registers.
  • Coordinate and administer health surveillance and screening programs.
  • Provide direct input in the event of an emergency and assist with emergency planning.
  • Coordinate safety advisory group meetings and provide advice and support to event organisers.
Requirements
  • Degree in a suitable transferable discipline.
  • Management or leadership qualification preferred.
  • PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification preferred.
  • 5 years relevant experience.
