We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Herdsperson to join our team at REAL Success Ltd in Cambridgeshire.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading the dairy team and ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and productivity. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the daily operations of the dairy herd
- Identifying and treating lame and sick cows
- Maintaining farm equipment and Lely robots
- Liaising with veterinarians, nutritionists, and consultants
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Managing dry cow management, calving cows, and colostrum protocols
- Leading the team and delegating tasks effectively
REAL Success Ltd is a family-owned progressive mixed farming business with a strong commitment to animal welfare and sustainability. We operate a 1000-acre farm with a herd of 400 Holsteins, milking through 8 A5 Lely robots. We are proud of our all-year-round calving system and our use of Cow Manager to track our records.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A full UK driving license
- Proof of UK right to work
- Ai and foot trimming qualification (preferred)
- Telehandler and forklift license (preferred)
You will also need to demonstrate previous experience in dairy farming and agriculture, a passion for robotic farming, and excellent communication skills.
