Reception and Administration Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Reception and Administration Coordinator to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of the administration team, you will provide support to the reception team, answer incoming phone calls, process prescription requests, and manage the GP2GP worklists.
About the Role- The successful candidate will work approximately 28 hours per week between 8am - 6:30pm Monday - Friday.
This role involves maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with patients, staff, and external agencies, and working collaboratively with other colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.
Main Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the reception team as required.
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with callers' requests appropriately.
- Process prescription requests in line with Practice policies.
- Manage the GP2GP worklists.
- Deal appropriately with emails received into the Practice inbox(s).
- Register new patients.
- Ensure patient information is recorded/retrieved on the computer system accurately and promptly.
- Administration and/or customer service experience.
- Experience working within a GP Practice.
