We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Reception and Administration Coordinator to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of the administration team, you will provide support to the reception team, answer incoming phone calls, process prescription requests, and manage the GP2GP worklists.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will work approximately 28 hours per week between 8am - 6:30pm Monday - Friday.

This role involves maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with patients, staff, and external agencies, and working collaboratively with other colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide administrative support to the reception team as required.
  2. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with callers' requests appropriately.
  3. Process prescription requests in line with Practice policies.
  4. Manage the GP2GP worklists.
  5. Deal appropriately with emails received into the Practice inbox(s).
  6. Register new patients.
  7. Ensure patient information is recorded/retrieved on the computer system accurately and promptly.
Requirements
  • Administration and/or customer service experience.
  • Experience working within a GP Practice.
Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum
