Main Responsibilities:

Responding to Queries: Respond to and resolve a wide range of queries from various stakeholders in a courteous and efficient manner.

Providing Information and Support: Offer guidance and support to students and their families, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and services.

Accurate Information and Advice: Provide timely and accurate information, advice, and guidance to students, families, and partners to ensure appropriate levels of achievement and progression.

Signposting and Referral: Direct service users to relevant services or pass on queries to appropriate colleagues as necessary.

Liaison and Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with partners and providers to create personalized education programs for individuals with complex needs.

Student Transitions: Support students during transitions between provisions, schools, or Key Stages.

Reporting: Produce reports as required for the PRU Pastoral Manager, Head of PRU, PRU Management Committee, and Ofsted.

Requirements:

Location: Central Manchester

Contract/Position Details: ASAP start, Pastoral Support Officer role

Eligibility: To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, candidates must hold a Right to Work in the UK, an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate, and provide two professional child-related references. A full, clean UK driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are also required.
