Job Title: Family Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our team in Woking, South-East England. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child welfare and a passion for supporting families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Provide relationship-based social work services to children and families.
  • Assessment & Planning: Conduct assessments to identify family strengths, risks, and needs, developing SMART plans to support children's welfare.
  • Safeguarding: Engage in child protection investigations and work collaboratively with families to develop plans that ensure children's safety.
  • Partnership Work: Collaborate with agencies, fostering strong relationships with legal services, healthcare, education, and other partners.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate case records in line with practice standards, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and comprehensive.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Professional Social Work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and HCPC registration.
  • Experience: Substantial experience in assessing and working directly with children and families in a statutory setting.
  • Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of UK childcare laws, statutory guidance, and the Working Together 2018 framework.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, report-writing, and assessment skills; ability to manage challenging situations and build positive relationships.

Salary: Up to £42 per hour (Inside IR35)
