Personal Support Assistant

Care and companionship are essential for a 63-year-old woman living with Frontotemporal Dementia and Primary Progressive Aphasia. As a Personal Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in her daily life, providing emotional support, companionship, and assistance with daily tasks.
We are seeking an individual who is outgoing and friendly, able to engage in various activities, such as walking, running, sewing, crafts, gardening, and baking. The ideal candidate should be able to plan and participate in these activities during the week, ensuring our client remains active and engaged.
The primary progressive aphasia means that language comprehension is generally clear, but expressive responses may be unclear. Therefore, patience and a calm demeanor are essential qualities for this role. You will also assist with household administration, food shopping, and ironing, as needed.
We require someone who can provide emotional support and companionship while maintaining a calm and patient attitude. If you are a kind and compassionate individual who enjoys working with people, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role.
