Medical Practitioner in Primary Care

The NHS is seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner to fill a part-time fixed-term position as a GP Locum Consultant in Primary Care. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our dynamic team, working 20 hours per week on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.
Salary: £150,000 - £200,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
About the Role- Surgery consultations and emergencies
- Telephone consultations and queries
- Triaging
- Visiting patients at home
- Checking and signing repeat prescriptions
- Dealing with queries, patient test results, and medical reports
- Preparing referral letters for NHS/private
- Completing paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner
The post holder will also be expected to:
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
- Record clear and contemporaneous IT-based consultation notes
- Compile and issue computer-generated repeat prescriptions
- Prescribe in accordance with locally agreed or national guidelines
- Manage clinical systems, including medical reviews
- GMC Registered
- MRCGP/Summative Assessment
- Any other relevant professional qualifications
- MPS/MDU membership
