We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at SENDirect, a well-regarded organization that provides support to students and teachers in secondary education.
About the Role:- Provide support to teachers and students across various subjects and year groups within the secondary school setting, promoting a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
- Plan and deliver lessons to small groups and whole classes, following the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curriculum, and contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for secondary students.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to teachers and parents, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and contribute to the planning and assessment of educational activities, tailored to the secondary school setting.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students receive a comprehensive and high-quality education.
- Previous experience as an HLTA or a similar role within a secondary school setting, with a strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curriculum.
- A relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and engage with secondary school students effectively, and a positive and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
