Asset Management Director, Student Housing

This role will play a key part in shaping and executing asset management strategies and plans for the student housing portfolio in the UK, including marketing initiatives to maximize income and optimize asset value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational and financial performance of assigned portfolios, including asset positioning, cash flow enhancement, and value optimization.
  • Hands-on asset and operational management to ensure revenue, expense, and physical upkeep and maintenance of properties are optimized.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and reports covering financial and operational performance, leasing status, and rental collection.
  • Formulate asset plans for each asset, including recommending enhancement initiatives, redevelopment plans, and divestment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the investment team on underwriting new investment opportunities.
  • Manage market intelligence and global market/industry information to ensure competitiveness of the company's products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Building, Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum ten years' relevant real estate asset management experience.
  • Strong operational and financial grounding, with good knowledge of local markets.
  • Excellent people management skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • MBA/Master's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, or equivalent is desirable.
