We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Childcare Apprentice at our Willows Day Nursery in Aylesbury. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with our team to create a safe and supportive learning environment for children.
- Plan and implement activities that promote children's development and learning.
- Interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young learners.
- Adhere to nursery routines and policies, seeking guidance from your leadership team as needed.
- Manage your time effectively to meet coursework deadlines and achieve your qualifications.
- A Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, including online initial assessments and coursework.
- Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in maths and English, if required.
- A Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- A permanent contract as a qualified Nursery Nurse within our partnership, subject to successful qualification completion.
- A full-time role (37.5 hours a week) working with children under 5 in our nursery.
- A varied shift pattern, usually between 07:15am-18:30pm Monday-Friday.
- 'Off the job' learning time within your working week to support your studies.
- A dedicated Childcare Trainer/Assessor from our in-house Training Academy of Excellence.
- 11 group training sessions with other apprentices from across our partnership.
- An hourly pay rate of £6.55, increasing to £10 per hour after 6 months and £11.44 per hour after 12 months.
- A 'congratulations' payment of £300 upon successful completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship.
- The potential for an annual tax-free dividend payment.
- 'Recommend a friend' bonuses of £1000 for successful referrals.
- Childcare discount from day one, with 75% for your children and/or 40% for your grandchildren.
- A fully-paid enhanced DBS check.
- Complimentary breakfast, lunch, and refreshments while at work.
- 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy and sell days.
- An annual conference and awards event to recognize individual and team achievements.

To be considered for this role, you must have documentation to evidence your right to work in the UK, photographic ID, and official documentation to evidence your national insurance number. You must also have access to a computer to undertake the initial online assessment and submit ongoing coursework. We will need to obtain suitable references and an enhanced DBS check for suitable applicants prior to employment commencing.
