Mechanical Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at Macstaff. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing mechanical building services systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop HVAC systems for industrial and commercial premises.
- Perform load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, and coordinate with other trades to ensure optimal system performance.
- Review external design solutions and conduct site inspections to provide technical support.
- Assist the estimating team by sourcing quotations from suppliers and vetting quotations for compliance with employer's requirements, specifications, and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest regulations and standards, as well as emerging technologies.
- Review design and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and project teams.
Requirements:
- HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
- Proficient in CAD/Revit and HVAC software.
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of regulations and building codes.
- Professional membership is advantageous.
