Management Accountant

We are seeking a driven Finance professional to join our high-energy finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of month-end results, variance analysis, and commentaries.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability as a Management Accountant, with experience working with non-finance professionals and excellent analytical skills using Excel and other reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the production of month-end results, variance analysis, and commentaries
- Closedown of ledgers at month-end
- Reconciliation and validation of control accounts
- External Reporting (Government Statistics etc)
- VAT Returns
- Oversee and verify Purchase ledger balances and accruals
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Part-qualified/Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Strong technical ability as a Management Accountant
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and high competency in data analysis using Excel and other reporting tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with non-finance professionals
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks over month-end periods
- Competitive salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
