Residential Care Mentor

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Mentor for Residential Care to join our team. As a mentor, you will provide guidance and support to young people aged 8-18 with emotional, behavioural, and complex needs.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children. You will work closely with management to maintain a safe, supportive environment that encourages independence and well-being.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Provide emotional support and guidance to young people
* Encourage participation in activities and promote responsibility
* Maintain a homely atmosphere and deal with challenging behaviours
* Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
* Collaborate with the management team to run shifts and mentor newer staff members

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent
* 2 years' experience in a residential children's home environment
* Full driving licence
* Ability to work shift patterns (8am-10pm plus sleep-ins)
