About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Special Education Needs Coordinator to lead our SEND team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of improving outcomes for students with special educational needs.

As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational and strategic aspects of our SEND policy. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that all students receive an outstanding education.

The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status, a First Degree, and significant experience of Special Education Needs within secondary education. They will also possess excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to train staff in aspects of SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operational and strategic aspects of SEND policy
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to improve student outcomes
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEN
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to SEND
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures
