Job Overview

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking skilled Structural Integrity Experts to join our Submarines Business in Derby.

As a Structural Integrity Expert, you will be responsible for undertaking a broad range of mechanical assessments, including linear and non-linear finite element analyses.

  • Utilizing traditional hand calculation methods, commercial finite element codes (mainly Abaqus), and bespoke analysis codes.
  • Developing and implementing methodologies to assess submarine nuclear plant components.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of submarine structures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or mathematics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated interest and expertise in structural integrity analysis.
