Learning Support Specialist

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Specialist to join Blue Octopus. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the delivery of a high-quality support service to learners with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Referral Management: Act as the primary point of contact for referrals from professionals working with young people.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct comprehensive needs assessments, including risk assessments, to identify individual requirements.
- Caseload Leadership: Lead an assigned caseload of learners, coordinating support packages that meet EHCP outcomes.
- EHCP Annual Reviews: Chair EHCP annual reviews and manage a team of Learning Coaches to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Quality Systems Implementation: Develop and implement quality systems and record assessments, including risk assessments.
- Legal Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with SEND reforms, equality & safeguarding legislation, and support funding mechanisms.
The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
