We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our facilities maintenance team at our Sudbury-based manufacturing client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain offices, canteen, showrooms, and toilets to a high standard.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces.
  • Collect and dispose of waste and recyclable materials generated within the factory.
  • Follow cleaning protocols and use appropriate cleaning chemicals and techniques to avoid damage to sensitive equipment.
  • Empty bins, segregate waste streams, and ensure that waste storage areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals to minimize risks to health and safety.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in cleaning is essential.
  • Familiarity with cleaning procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Happy to work at heights and within a factory environment if required.
  • Flexible approach to work, reacting to situations as they occur.
