Job Title: Land Rights Specialist

Bruton Knowles seeks a highly skilled and motivated Land Rights Specialist to join its team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of land activities, suitable transferable experience, and skills to facilitate delivery of land referencing, negotiating land rights, and dealing with compensation claims.

About the Role:

The purpose of this job is to undertake the acquisition of land/rights in land and carry out compensation work, including work on major Utility and Infrastructure projects, ensuring appropriate fee income to the business.

  • Deliver high-quality services to clients, team colleagues, and other business teams as directed, ensuring all correspondence is authorized before sending.
  • Achieve fee income set in Performance Review, working closely with more experienced colleagues where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate time records on Changepoint, meeting targets set in Performance Review.
  • Attend training sessions, team meetings, and maintain an appropriate schedule of training needs and achievements.
  • Ensure that appropriate Quality assurance and Health and Safety standards are met.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • A good working knowledge of IT, particularly Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Outlook) and strong keyboard skills.
  • A self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and work independently within defined parameters.
  • Clean full driving license.
