The Department of Earth Sciences and St Hugh's College are seeking a highly skilled geophysicist to fill the role of Associate Professor of Environmental Geophysics. The successful candidate will be appointed to a Tutorial Fellowship at St Hugh's College and will be a trustee and member of its Governing Body.

The main duties of the post include carrying out research at an international level, participating in the administration of the department and governance of the college, and teaching, supervising, and examining undergraduate and postgraduate students. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in the field of Geophysics and expertise in Environmental Geosciences, including areas such as natural hazards, the cryosphere, water resources, soil science, and green-energy resources.

The University of Oxford offers a combined University and College salary from £54,395 p.a. plus additional College pensionable benefits. An allowance of £3,078 p.a. is also provided.
