Senior National Account Manager

MacGregor Black is seeking a highly skilled Senior National Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our key national accounts in the grocery retail sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop relationships with key national accounts, focusing on grocers and major UK retailers, to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to grocers and key retailers to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth within the grocery and retail sectors.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and promotions with major retail and grocery partners.
  • Work closely with the marketing, product development, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on account strategies and execution.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management.
  • Develop and manage account budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities and campaigns in collaboration with marketing teams to drive product visibility and sales.
Requirements:
  • Strong account management experience.
  • 5+ years toy/gifting experience.
  • Experience within licensing and working within grocers.
  • Strong strategic mindset.
  • Experience of developing accounts and winning new business.
  • Ability to manage a multitude of different priorities (internal & external and work to timescales, manage projects and lead people)
