About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Export Coordinator to join our team at Specialist Recruit. As an Export Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of international shipments, working closely with our clients and partners to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrange quotes for local offices on international moves from the UK to overseas destinations, ensuring timely and accurate communication with clients and partners.
  • Add shipment information onto our bespoke operational database, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Calculate and check sea freight and delivery charges, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with local offices and receiving agents to ensure all necessary customs, contact, insurance, and contract details are correct, facilitating seamless customs clearance and bonding container processes.
  • Communicate all relevant details to overseas agents and members, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Update our computer system (Intermove) and files, ensuring all relevant information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Create sales invoices and approve purchase invoices for payment as necessary, maintaining financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor changes to customs procedures and update our systems accordingly, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Relay any impact on pricing for customers due to changes in freight rates and exchange rates, maintaining transparency and accuracy.
  • Ensure the Intermove system is always up-to-date with the latest developments, such as changes to price, transit time, and companies involved.
Requirements
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role working within a busy exports/shipping department, with a strong understanding of database systems and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • A strong attention to detail, with the ability to swiftly and accurately produce quotations and maintain good administrative skills.
  • IT literacy is mandatory, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and our internal bespoke operational database.
