Autism Support Specialist

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Job Description
As an Autism Support Specialist, you will play a vital part in supporting students with autism and other special educational needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one and group support to students with diverse needs, promoting engagement and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Assisting in the implementation of individual Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure each student's unique needs are met.
- Fostering a safe, supportive, and emotionally regulated environment for all pupils, promoting social and emotional well-being.
- Collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to deliver a trans-disciplinary approach to education, ensuring a seamless and effective learning experience for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and guidance to students with autism and other special educational needs, promoting independence and life skills.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans, ensuring each student's unique needs are met.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being among students.
Requirements
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
