Buildings and Maintenance Officer

The Heart of Newhaven Community is seeking a highly motivated and organized Buildings and Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep, maintenance, and repairs of our buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safety and security of our buildings and grounds, adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
- Manage and organize the use of our buildings for various activities and events.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and minor joinery and plumbing work.
- Work with our Transition Manager to plan and execute repairs and improvements to our buildings.
- Manage contractors and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular building checks and complete in-house PAT testing.
- Maintain cleaning supply levels and store cleaning products safely.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in facilities management and health and safety regulations.
- Basic understanding of events equipment and IT skills.
