About the Role

The Heart of Newhaven Community is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Buildings and Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep, maintenance, and repairs of our buildings and grounds.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and security of our buildings and grounds
Carry out regular maintenance and repairs
Liaise with facilities management contractors
Manage and organise the building for day-to-day use
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations

Requirements

Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience of facilities management and Health and Safety legislation
Basic understanding of events equipment and IT skills
