Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices.
- Purchase Ledger – including delivery notes, invoices, payments.
- Sales Ledger – sales applications and invoicing.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, and collections.
- Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting databases.
- Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Processing payroll for staff.
- Dealing with petty cash and Barclaycard.
- Respond to queries from clients and suppliers regarding invoices and payments.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role, knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks), strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, good numerical and analytical skills, ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
