About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Advanced Hand Therapist within our multidisciplinary team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. You will be responsible for providing expert hand therapy services to patients with a wide range of hand and wrist conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with hand and wrist injuries or conditions.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in research studies to advance the field of hand therapy and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Recognized BSc Honours degree or equivalent experience.
  • State registration via Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Completion of validated/nationally recognized postgraduate specialist/advanced level hand therapy courses.
  • Experience working in a hand therapy post at this level.

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
