Welcome to this exciting opportunity within our Step Forward Liverpool psychology service. Our team comprises Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Practitioners and Assistant Psychologists who support adults with moderate to complex mental health difficulties.

This 6-month fixed-term post offers a chance to deliver semi-structured psychological groups and low-level one-to-one interventions under the supervision of a qualified Psychologist. You will be working in a dynamic environment where we provide comprehensive training and support for your future career options.

The ideal candidate will have a good Psychology degree and experience working as a Support Worker or Assistant Psychologist in a healthcare setting. Key responsibilities include undertaking psychological assessments, assisting in care plan formulation, coordinating therapeutic groups, and collaborating with other disciplines to assess patients.

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in developing a psychological framework for understanding and caring for all service users. We encourage applications from individuals with excellent communication skills, experience using computers, and a demonstrated ability to apply psychological knowledge to a mental health context.

To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 12 months' experience working with people with mental health problems, paid work in direct care provision, and entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
