About the RoleA vacancy has arisen for an 8B Clinical Psychologist working within the Older Adults service across Liverpool and Sefton. We are looking for someone with the clinical skills and experience to enable them to work with older people living with a full range of mental health difficulties and dementia. You will join a team that are passionate about creatively working with older people and promoting their Rights.
The post holder will also have opportunities for Continuing Professional Development and be encouraged to contribute to the professional development of other staff members.
Key Responsibilities- To provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for older adults experiencing mental health difficulties and dementia.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and support to patients and their families.
- To develop and maintain knowledge of current best practices and research findings in clinical psychology, particularly in relation to older adults and dementia.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Clinical Psychologist who meets the following criteria:
- Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent) as accredited by the BPS.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Postdoctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
As a Senior Mental Health Specialist with North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you can expect a competitive salary package, including:
$60,000 - $80,000 per annum depending on experience.
