Senior Contracts Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Manager to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our contracts team, you will be responsible for providing commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of contracts with key customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of contracts with key customers
  • Lead contractual interactions with customers and represent the contracts team at customer meetings
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with customer commercial/contracts teams
  • Manage and draft customer communications in support of programme delivery
  • Own the contract management and contract compliance activities for programmes
  • Proactively manage customer disputes and complaints
  • Provide timely commercial advice to project and delivery teams in support of management and delivery of programmes
  • Review, scrutinize, and develop operational process flows
  • Ensure that the financial aspects and impact of contracts are clear to all parties
  • Ensure that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance, understand and adhere to contractual obligations

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a pressurized environment
  • Provides commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of contracts
  • Strong comprehension of programme technical performance metrics and financial status
  • Extensive experience of managing commercial and contractual elements of contract change pipelines
  • Extensive experience of in-life contract management and contract compliance
  • Strong negotiator
  • Strong collaborator
  • Commercially astute
  • High attention to detail

Clearance Requirements:

  • Clearance to Start BPSS
  • Clearance for Role SC HO
