Senior Contracts Manager

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our contracts team, you will be responsible for providing commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of contracts with key customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead contractual interactions with customers, providing commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
  • Represent the contracts team at customer meetings, presenting to customers and advising on the status of contractual issues and resolution.
  • Lead the commercial evaluation and preparation of contract change proposals, scrutinizing and governing contract change proposals, and negotiating proposals through to signature.
  • Manage and draft customer communications in support of programme delivery, owning contract management and contract compliance activities for the programme.
  • Proactively manage customer disputes and complaints, providing timely commercial advice to project and delivery teams in support of management and delivery of the programme.
  • Review, scrutinize, and develop operational process flows, ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of the contract are clear to all parties.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance, understand and adhere to contractual obligations, developing and maintaining good working relationships with the customer commercial/contracts team.
  • Take an active role in the performance of the contract, proactively working to identify risks, issues, and opportunities, and develop and implement strategies to mitigate the risks, resolve the issues, and capitalize on the opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential, with the ability to multi-task in a pressurized environment.
  • Provides commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of the contract, with a strong comprehension of programme technical performance metrics and financial status.
  • Extensive experience of managing commercial and contractual elements of a contract change pipeline, including scope definition, pricing strategy, risk evaluation and allocation, managing queries and disputes in the delivery phase.
  • Extensive experience of in-life contract management and contract compliance, with strong negotiation and collaboration skills.
  • Commercially astute, with a high attention to detail.
