Job Title: Compliance Paralegal

Job Summary

The Compliance Paralegal will play a pivotal role in supporting the Firm's global legal & compliance team. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the Firm's Know Your Customer (KYC) program, including the global sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) efforts, as well as the global conflicts of interest screening program.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Firm's KYC program, including global sanctions and AML efforts, and global conflicts of interest screening program.
  2. Support the global legal & compliance team in meeting their regulatory obligations.
  3. Assist the legal team in responding to litigation discovery requests, using Smarsh email archiving software and liaising with firm employees around the world.
  4. Assist generally with record retention matters, in accordance with regulatory and/or litigation needs.
  5. Support the committee on environmental, social and governance policy, including reviewing and drafting policies and documents with support from other staff.
  6. Support the legal and compliance team in relation to other matters as they arise.
  7. Assist with periodic policy and procedure review, and suggesting improvements and efficiencies as they may arise.
Requirements
  1. Law degree and/or legal training strongly preferred.
  2. Experience supporting a legal and compliance team preferred.
  3. Financial industry and/or legal industry experience, ideally in a leading law firm, desirable.
  4. Experience of working with Refinitiv WorldCheck, Smarsh, Salesforce, and/or iManage helpful.
