Overview:

Everest People Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Head of Human Resources to lead a dynamic team within a growing company in the food and agriculture industry. Reporting to the Group General Manager, you will oversee the Human Resources, recruitment, and payroll departments, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and robust employee support. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Group General Manager, and Recruitment Manager to align Human Resources strategies with company goals.

As the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with employment laws, particularly around right to work and sponsorship licensing. Additionally, you will provide insightful reports on key Human Resources metrics such as staff turnover and absences, while driving initiatives to improve job satisfaction and welfare facilities.

Key Responsibilities for the Head of Human Resources:
  1. Offer guidance to both employees and managers on Human Resources issues, address complaints, and resolve conflicts to maintain a harmonious working environment.
  2. Ensure robust procedures are in place for onboarding new staff, manage skilled worker sponsorship compliance through regular audits, and oversee the completion and storage of right to work checks.
  3. Lead weekly recruitment meetings, provide regular reports on key Human Resources metrics including staff turnover, vacancies, and absences, and ensure all data is accurately maintained.
  4. Drive Human Resources projects such as enhancing job satisfaction through incentives, upgrading payroll and compliance software, and improving welfare facilities to support employee well-being.
  5. Oversee performance reviews and probation sign-offs within your department, ensuring that the team remains aligned with company goals.
  6. Maintain headcount in line with company demand, ensuring the recruitment process is effective and reduces the need for external recruiters.
  7. Implement software solutions that improve the efficiency of payroll, recruitment, and Human Resources operations.
  8. Ensure timely issuance of reports, typically every Friday, to keep the management team informed of Human Resources activities.
Requirements for the Head of Human Resources:
  1. Certified in Personnel Development (CIPD) qualification is required.
  2. Experience with skilled worker visas is highly desirable.
  3. Proven track record in a Senior Human Resources role covering multiple departments.
  4. This role requires someone who values an on-site office culture, with a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality in Human Resources matters.
