Job Details

Job Role:

  • Lead whole class teaching to cover for class teacher PPA or leadership release
  • Work with groups of pupils within the classroom
  • Run intervention groups outside the classroom

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the continued success of Victoria Primary Academy and its pupils
  • Support teachers and the academy in raising standards of achievement for all pupils
  • Apply knowledge and skills in a warm and welcoming primary setting to support pupils, teachers, and the academy

Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths
  • NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent)
  • Qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards)
  • Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant
  • Flexible and responsive approach, with the ability to address potentially challenging situations
  • Commitment to deliver first-class support to staff and pupils
