Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Staff Midwife to join our maternity team at The Portland Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to women during their inpatient stay. This will involve working alongside Obstetric Consultants to support Consultant Led Care within the maternity service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide antenatal, intranatal and postnatal care to all women during their inpatient stay
  • Work within the midwifery team to provide support and facilitate high-quality, individualized care to women and their families
  • Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times in the provision of antenatal, intranatal and postnatal care
  • Establish effective communication and working relationships with the multi-disciplinary team

Requirements

  • NMC Registered Midwife (Band 6)
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in a Midwifery setting
  • Basic Adult and Newborn Life Support
  • Teaching and mentoring experience
  • Competent at cannulation
