Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide support to a SEMH pupil in a 1:1 setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEMH needs and be able to provide a nurturing and patient approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a SEMH pupil in a Year 5 class
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to meet the pupil's needs
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the pupil's social, emotional, and behavioral development
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the pupil's needs are met
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of support/intervention programmes for SEND
  • Patience, nurturing, and kind mindset
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Previous experience with SEN and/or pastoral care
