Academic Training Programme Director

NHS England is seeking an experienced Consultant to lead the Cardiology Specialty as a Training Programme Director. This role involves working closely with the Postgraduate Dean and other key departments to deliver high-quality training programmes that meet national standards.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Cardiology training across the region, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team.
The estimated salary for this role is £104,920 - £155,230 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the Regional Training Programme for Cardiology
- Address specialty-specific matters and trainee/trainer concerns
- Recruit to training posts and programmes
- Manage the postgraduate programme, including assessments, progression, rotations, support, remediation, OOP management, trainee management, careers support, less than full-time training, inter-deanery transfer, academic training, and other related work-streams
