Job Title: Building Safety Compliance Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Safety Compliance Specialist to join our team at Great Places Housing Association. As a key member of our Building Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of fire safety and compliance matters
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify potential fire safety risks
  • Develop and implement effective fire safety strategies to mitigate risks
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Fire Manager to ensure compliance with fire safety legislation
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on fire safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Nebosh Fire Certificate or equivalent
  • Level 4 award in Asset and Building Management Compliance (or willing to work for)
  • Technical knowledge of operation and testing of emergency lighting, fire detection systems, AOVs
  • Excellent understanding of building safety and compliance
  • Understanding of fire and building safety legislation
  • Effective liaison with stakeholders and good communication abilities
  • Good IT abilities especially Microsoft Office
