Laundry Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our care homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage laundry procedures to prevent unnecessary build-up and ensure efficient processing.
- Identify and bundle laundry for staff to load and unload into washers and dryers.
- Perform daily maintenance on laundry equipment and report any defects to the Head of Home.
- Distribute clean laundry to residents' rooms.
- Ensure accurate marking of residents' clothes.
- Maintain a clean and tidy laundry room, adhering to health and safety best practices.
- Collaborate with the Head of Home to maintain an efficient laundry service for all service users.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Good communication skills and politeness when interacting with residents and colleagues.
- Experience in a similar role and knowledge of health and safety practices.
