Site Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Manager to join our team at Setsquare Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a large-scale construction project, with a focus on EV charging roll out. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, with experience of running projects from £1 million to £4 million. A Top Tier Contractor background is essential, as is a record of being client-facing. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team, and will need to demonstrate strong project leadership qualities and exceptional soft skills. The role will also involve controlling all aspects of H&S on site, including programming work schedules, monitoring building progress, and ensuring compliance with regulations and cost limitations. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-profile projects, and will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of government-funded construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leading a small team of construction professionals
* Controlling all aspects of H&S on site
* Programming work schedules and monitoring building progress
* Ensuring compliance with regulations and cost limitations
* Managing site inductions, method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permits to work
* Logistics planning, plant and labour resources management
* Progress meetings with site team and subcontractors

Requirements:

* Strong construction background
* Previous experience of running projects from £1 million to £4 million
* Top Tier Contractor background
* Record of being client-facing
* Strong project leadership qualities and exceptional soft skills
* Strong health and safety awareness and management
* Strong technical and financial acumen
