Job Title: Adult and Child Psychiatrist

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Adult and Child Psychiatrist to join our Recovery Team in Gloucester. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and contribute to the development of our services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside a part-time consultant colleague, supported by a specialty doctor and the wider recovery multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing medical leadership to the MDT and oversight to the work of the Specialty Doctor, participating in triage, assessment, care planning, and the delivery of care to patients eligible to be seen by the Recovery Team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide medical leadership to the MDT and oversight to the work of the Specialty Doctor.
  2. Participate in triage, assessment, care planning, and the delivery of care to patients eligible to be seen by the Recovery Team.
  3. Offer advice to GPs within the patch and liaise with other trust teams as appropriate for patient care.
  4. Engage with Safeguarding and Child Protection processes.
  5. Engage with Audit and Quality Improvement Processes.
