We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Secondary Education Support Assistant. As a key member of the teaching team, you will provide support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and be able to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and parents/carers.

**Responsibilities:*

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring that students receive high-quality education
  • Work closely with other support staff to create an enabling environment for students
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues

Skills and Qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
  • Level 2-3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards)
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
  • Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with SEMH and ASD
