About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join a school in Derby as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils in a nursery class.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team, who can provide high-quality support to the classroom teacher and pupils.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and be able to create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes learning and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities.
  • Support pupils with their educational and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to reports and meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Level 2 Childcare qualification (or equivalent) for ratio purposes.
  • Experience working with children in a nursery setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum.
