Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to join our client's team in Derby. As a key member of the teaching staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to students at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare resources and materials for lessons.
- Support classroom activities and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce their understanding.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Provide additional support to students with special educational needs.
- Develop strong relationships with parents, guardians, and colleagues to promote student success and wellbeing.
Requirements
- At least 6 months to 1 year of teaching assistant experience in a secondary school setting.
- Relevant qualifications, such as Cache Level 2 Support Teaching & Learning In Schools or similar courses.
- Training in behaviour management and differentiated instruction, with familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Salary and Benefits
