Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Secretary to provide administrative support to our Consultant Rheumatologists. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the development of policy and processes.
Main Duties
- Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to Consultant Rheumatologists.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Trust IT computer systems.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development of policy and processes to improve patient care and service outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Provide cover for the medical secretaries and other members of the secretarial and administration team as required.
- Support the delivery of agreed service outcomes and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- Order stationery on Unit4 and maintain accurate records of supplies.
Person Specification
- Good standard of general education to include GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Proven accurate typing and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Proven experience of providing a customer-focused service and working in a busy office environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently within a team environment.
