Job Title: Senior Human Resources Manager

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team in Barry, South Wales.

Salary: £52,000 - £57,000 per annum + Car/Car Allowance & Bonus.

About the Role:

This full-time, permanent site-based position offers a unique opportunity to partner with key business stakeholders and work on a wide range of activities such as change initiatives, talent attraction and development, inclusion and diversity, employee engagement, and business improvement initiatives.

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive, commercially focused HR service for the site. You will represent the HR function within management teams to ensure national, Business Unit, and local priorities and strategies are achieved.

You will report into the Senior Regional HR Manager and be responsible for managing all HR for the site, as well as the Supply Chain and Logistics teams in the Southern region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver a Comprehensive HR Service: Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management and staff on employment law, employee relations, and other HR-related matters.
  2. Support Business Change: Assist with implementing business changes, including reorganisations and TUPE transfers.
  3. Built Relationships: Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive improvements and achieve business objectives.
  4. Manage HR Teams: Oversee the management of HR teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality services.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • In-depth experience gained within a manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Good working and practical understanding of employment law and how to deal with employee relations cases.
  • Proven track record of supporting business changes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment.
  • High integrity and the ability to successfully challenge, impact, and influence others.
