About the Role

This position is ideal for a skilled Commissioning Engineer with experience in nuclear and defence projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of mechanical commissioning works, ensuring they are delivered successfully and within prescribed schedule, budget, and defined health, safety, and quality parameters.

The role involves working closely with the commissioning manager to create and deliver the full commissioning programme, facilitating regular meetings across all areas of the project, and consulting with other suppliers to ensure their services are fully coordinated.

You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining commissioning procedures, managing reporting of commissioning outcomes to senior management and client teams, and ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general mechanical commissioning oversight services for all stages of design and construction.
  • Support the commissioning manager in creating and delivering the full commissioning programme.
  • Ensure delivery of the commissioning programme to time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Facilitate regular meetings across all areas of the project as required.
  • Consult with other suppliers in project teams to ensure their services are fully coordinated.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a degree qualification in project management or a related field, professional accreditation such as RICS, APM, or equivalent, and valid UK BPSS/security clearance.

You should have hands-on commissioning experience in a range of building and asset types, experience with the NEC suite of contracts, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The estimated salary for this position is £450/day Ltd, 37.5hr working week, with opportunities for remote working and expensed site visits where needed.
